At POLY, we focus on teaching children English through the five senses and try to make learning English as fun and interesting as possible. We also focus on the physical and social development of our students and promote a sense of creativity and imagination within them.

KOREAPOLYSCHOOL, Inc. is committed to developing returning students’ bilingual linguistic potentiality of high academic achievement, intellectual curiosity and strong moral character. As a result, year after year, POLY orientates our children to be 4Cs – Creative, Collaborative, Communicative, and Critical turning respectful, responsible, and compassionate young adults, who are well prepared for new challenges in their adventure that lay ahead.
Gang-Dong POLY Campus is newly established with enthusiasm to provide the safest environment where our children can love themselves and freely speak about themselves in full confidence. Beyond mastering academic disciplines, Gang-Dong POLY students are taught to respect all people and things, to be honest with themselves and others put forth maximum effort, and seek ways to support their trusty friendship.

Our Programs
1. The Kindergarten Program focuses on building the foundations of English learning in students. The ESL courses taught in this level cover topics such as: phonics, vocabulary, listening, and basic speaking, writing and reading.

 

2. The Elementary Program teaches students the four skills of English and focuses on conversation. Children at this age, are encouraged to use only English in the classroom. Students are taught a variety of topics such as: reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, essay writing, and current events.

Our team enjoys going out to dinner together and hanging out outside of work. 

 

All teachers at POLY are provided with a studio apartment within walking distance of the school, rent free. Gangdong is also located alongside Han River, so you can spend your evenings enjoying outdoor activities such as biking, or just relaxing along the river. You can also order chicken and beer and have it delivered to you by the river and enjoy a fun night out with your friends.

POLY Gangdong is located just 20 minutes away from Lotte World, which is one of Korea’s largest and most famous amusement parks. Just a little further from there, you can get to Gangnam, where you can explore the Seoul nightlife.

 

 

Who We're Looking For

POLY Gangdong would love to have you join our team! We're currently looking for candidates with the follwoign qualifications:

  • MUST be a citizen of the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa
  • MUST have a criminal background check with apostille and a copy of your university diploma with apostille READY TO GO
  • MUST have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • MUST have a Native level fluency in English
  • If you are applying from outside Korea, you MUST have a BA degree in Education or English

Kindergarten and Elementary Teacher Wanted in POLY Gangdong

1. Role and Responsibilities: POLY Gangdong is looking for qualified teachers to serve as a kindergarten to elementary school grade 6 English teacher. You will be teaching various lessons in English to students from ages 5 to grade 6. You will be teaching mainly kindergarten classes with some elementary classes in the afternoons. POLY specializes in helping students who have lived abroad extensively and have advanced English levels. As a teacher, you will need to be a quick thinker and be able to facilitate critical discussions in class.   You will be responsible for: Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons Prepare teaching materials ahead of time Grade regular homework assignments Prepare and create tests and examinations Track and report students’ performance dates and give feedback Teach advanced English level kindergarten students ages 6-7 speaking, stories, arts and crafts, phonics, reading, and writing Teach advanced English level elementary and middle school students grades 1-9 through speaking and writing, reading, grammar, and book discussion classes   2. Candidate Qualifications  Candidates MUST currently be in Korea   E series Visa Holders Candidates with TEFL/TESOL and/or previous teaching experience preferred   F series Visa Holders We are accepting F-2, F-5, F-6 visa holders and Gyopo as well Candidates MUST have their apostilled diploma and nationwide criminal background check ready to go!   3.
