1. Role and Responsibilities As an elementary school teacher at JLS Jungnang, you will be working with students to help them improve their critical thinking skills. You will be responsible for the following: Teaching phonics, reading, and writing following our Caramel Tree curriculum Teaching vocabulary, listening reading, nonfiction, and speaking Provide feedback through the e-learning system Guide students through test preparation and help them learn logic and persuasive skills Teaching advanced English skills through speech, discussion, presentation, and essay writing Grading, evaluation, and assessment of students 2. Candidate Qualifications We are hiring candidates outside of Korea. E-2 Visa Holders: MUST be a citizen of the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa Must have your diploma apostilled and their nationwide criminal background check issued within the last 6 months READY TO GO F-series Visa Holders: We are currently taking applications from F-2, F-5, and F-6 visa holders ONLY F-series visa holders must have their diploma apostilled and their nationwide criminal background check READY TO GO 3. Visa Sponsorship We sponsor E-2 visas. 4. Working Conditions Working Hours: M-F: 3-9 PM Teaching Hours: 15 hours per week Students per Class: 12 Students Age Level: Grade 1-Grade 6 5. Salary and Benefits Salary: From 2.1 million KRW (Negotiable Upon Experience) Insurance and Financial: Insurance and pension will be matched by the employer Contract Completion Bonus: Provided upon completion of the contract Vacation: 10 days and all national Korean holidays Housing: Housing provided (within walking distance of the school) or housing allowance 6. Special Notice COVID 19: JLS Jungnang will be providing quarantine support in the form of housing fees for the 2 week period. You will need to pay for your own food for this time.
