Job Description

1. Role and Responsibilities

As a teacher at Chungdahm, you will follow a set curriculum and lesson plans, but also have the freedom to incorporate your own learning materials to increase student engagement in the classroom.   • Guide students through projects that focus around a variety of integrated subjects such as video production and AR
  • Teach small class sizes using integrated technology in your classroom
  • Share teaching materials via Teacher's Portal, an integrated online learning system connected to each branch


2. Candidate Qualifications

  • Candidates must be a citizen of the U.S.A., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, or South Africa OR
  • Candidates must hold an F-visa or Korean citizenship (with 10 or more years of experience living abroad)

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor degree from an accredited university
  • Candidates must have or be in the process of obtaining a background check with an apostille and a federal level background check with a federal-level apostille

3. Working Conditions


  • Students Per Class: 8-12 students
  • Prep Hour: 4pm-6pm
  • Working Hours: 9am-6pm (M-F)
  • Teaching Hours: 30 hours per week

April Institute

  • Students Per Class: 8-12 students
  • Prep Hour: 1pm-2pm
  • Working Hours: 1pm-9pm (M-F)
  • Teaching Hours: 35 hours per week

Chungdahm Institute

  • Students Per Class: 8-12 students
  • Prep Hour: 2pm-4pm
  • Working Hours: 2pm-10pm (M-F)
  • Teaching Hours: 30 hours per week

4. Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: Starting at 2.2 million KRW for a housing contract and 2.8 million KRW for a non-housing contract.
  • Insurance and Financial: 50/50 contribution for the medical insurance & pension contribution.
  • Contract Completion Bonus: Severance bonus upon completion of a year contract.
  • Vacation: Varies depending on the academy.
  • Housing: Housing assistance (either rent-free housing or 5 million KRW key money loan with higher monthly salary.)
  • Contract Date: All contracts are for a minimum one-year term.

  • Quarantine: Arrive 14 days before training and accommodation is fully paid for.
