Our students are uniquely focused and place a great deal of trust in their instructors (of which there are few). While this position is specific to our Elementary division, candidates should be motivated to provide rigor and challenge coupled with exciting instruction and review.
Location:
Cheongna, Incheon
About You:
It is very important to us that a candidate be a good fit for our community, be excited by both teaching and student growth, and be independently-driven. We seek individuals who are capable of leading their own lessons, adapting to curricular changes, and inspiring students from grades 1 to 12.
No particular previous experience is necessary, but you must be confident in your ability to tutor the following subjects:
-
Mathematics (from grades 1 to Pre-Algebra)
You should have at least a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree. Some prior teaching experience is preferred but unnecessary for the right individual. Please have your degree, apostille, and documents ready for submission to the Ministry of Education.
About the Position:
You will be working with a full-time Mathematics teacher from the school to provide review, homework assistance, and some novel instruction in math to students from our Elementary division (grades 1 to 5). The review will be personal and intensive, and you should be confident in your ability to respond to student questions and provide insights about problem-solving techniques. These students will be challenged most by word problems and the vocabulary of math, so fluency in English is a must. (We are open to candidates who are interested in developing a further role in the future at the school as well.)
The working hours will be four days per week - Monday to Thursday, from 4 PM to 6 PM.
Contract Details / Benefits:
- Duration of contract: 1 year (renewable)
- Salary: 1,200,000 KRW per month
