1. Role and Responsibilities:
At Big Heart Christian School, you will help students learn from a biblical worldview and help them prepare for their futures.
Secondary English Teachers
- Teach basic language skills using our North American curriculum and help students gain fluency in English
- Teach advanced English in liturature and writing classes
Secondary History Teacher
- Teach a world history from a biblical standpoint and also teach more advanced concepts in AP classes
1st Grade Elementary Teacher
- Teach a variety of subjects such as math, science, history, and English to young learners
Pre 1 (Kindergarten) Teacher
- Help students as they begin with the basics of reading and writing and use hands-on activities to help them develop their fine-motor skills
2. Working Conditions
Start Date: August 12
Contract Period: August 12, 2020 - June 9, 2021
This is a 10-month contract; however, if you would like to work the summer camp, you can extend the contract.
Working Hours: 8:10 AM - 4:20 PM
3. Salary and Benefits
Salary: From 2.1 million KRW (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Insurance and Financial: Insurance and pension are matched by the employer
Contract Completion Bonus: No (10-month contract)
Vacation: 12 Days + Korean National Holidays
Housing: Housing is provided or a housing allowance

- F-2, F-4, F-6 visa holders and Koreans are welcome to apply
- Native English teachers from the following countries: U.S.A., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.
- Teaching license or teaching experience preferred
5. Our Location
We're located in Yongin, which is right between Seoul and Suwon. We're very close to Jukjeon station and you can easily get up to Gangnam within half an hour. You can easily get over to Suwon to explore Hwaseong Fortress or check out Gwanggyo Lake Park.

The applicant must be a citizen of the USA, Canada, UK, Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa An applicant must have a four year degree from an accredited university Must be a Christian Teaching license or teaching experience preferred Working at BHCS Working Hours: Working hours are weekdays from8:10am - 4:20pm Salary: Initial salary rates start at 2.1 million won a month (or roughly 25 million won a year), but can be negotiated based on experience. Due to the low cost of living and prepaid housing, typically, teachers are able to save one million won a month. Vacation: Every teacher gets 12 days for vacation which does not include all the national holidays (around 16 days) Korea has to offer. Locations: Yongin, Gyeonggi-do Health and Financial: Health insurance is covered, pension is matched 50/50, flight ticket reimbursed. Housing: Every E-2 Visa holder gets a studio apartment complete with a washing machine, bed, stovetop, and refrigerator as well as plates and eating utensils. Curriculum BHCS, as a Chrsitian school, puts the bible and faith at the center of its education. However, bible study is just one part of its diverse curriculum. BHCS was approved to teach AP courses in math, history, and science in 2015 and 2016 and has an active debate team. The education at BHCS is more focused on preparing well-rounded students for American universities instead of Korean universities. As such, students at our school are taught to be active members not only in the classroom, but also outside through various clubs and events BHCS hosts.
