Who We're Looking For With a goal of networking schools around the world, GloLink is looking for teachers who have a passion for teaching students of various cultures. Teachers must be flexible with their approach to different topics and also understanding of different students’ needs. . We need teachers who are also capable of helping students understand world cultures alongside our curriculum of English, math, science, and history. The applicant must be a citizen of the USA, Canada, UK, Republic of Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa An applicant must have a four year degree from an accredited university TEFL/TESOL certificate or ESL teaching experience Working at GloLink Working Hours: Working hours are weekdays from either 9am-6pm or 1pm-10pm Salary: Initial salary rates start at 2.1 million won a month (or roughly 25 million won a year). Due to the low cost of living and prepaid housing, typically, teachers are able to save one million won a month. Pay raises are able to be negotiated at the end of your contract if you choose to stay for another year. Vacation: Every teacher gets 10 days for vacation which does not include all the national holidays (around 16 days) Korea has to offer. Locations: GloLink has academies all over the South Korean peninsula. Find the school and location that is right for you. Health and Financial: Health insurance is covered, pension is matched 50/50, flight ticket reimbursed. Housing: Every E-2 Visa holder gets a studio apartment complete with a washing machine, bed, stovetop, and refrigerator as well as plates and eating utensils. When GloLink offers you a job, you have 5 days to accept. Prepare your bags and get ready to move to a new country. GloLink will arrange getting you into Korea and settling you into your new home. Curriculum Glolink uses the same evaluation as the North American curriculum. As such, students who attend GloLink are held to the same standards as any North American student in all subjects such as English, Science and Social studies. Our 6 year course covers a total of 780 books. GloLink also has programs in place that allow students to go abroad and perfect their English skills. Students are allowed to practice their English skills in a native English setting while achieving a certificate in overseas education. The goal of GloLink’s curriculum is to have students be on the same level as native high school students by the end of their 6 year course. Part of the curriculum also includes exam preparation. In order to ensure students are ready for their English exams, classes in test prep cover essay writing, debating, group discussion, and interview preparation.
