Director's Message In this global age, the most important goal is not only to have a good command of English, but to understand the cultures of others. We strive to teach our students how to express their own ideas, persuade others, and find a common link with people all over the world through the knowledge of English and an understanding of English culture. To raise global leaders, students must learn English from a young age, follow suitable teachers, and train using an international program. Over the course of time, students will become global leaders. We strive to help our students prepare for the future by building upon a solid foundation of English. Sujeong Moon Academy Director About Us LCI stands for Language Clubs International and was founded in 1995. We offer programs for students from kindergarten up to junior high as well as test preparation classes. American Kindergarten Kindergarten Graduates Classroom Regular Classes In the American Kindergarten program, students learn a combination of language and knowledge, the formation of positive self-concepts, explore diversity, individuality, and the cultivation of social character. Students also take part in various cultural experiences such as field trips and picnics. Throughout the year, students will: Learn through a language learning course Become proficient through a literacy course Listen to/read English fairy tales Explore self-expression Participate in special activities The Kindergarten Graduates Classroom is for kindergarten graduates to maintain and devlop the English that they have already learned in kindergarten. These are intensive courses similar to how American children learn English when they are in school. Through this program, students will gain background knowledge in social studies, science, language arts, and reading. These courses areorganized and systematic to help the students progress in their English education. During class, students practice their speaking through a story picture-book, answer questions regarding the reading, and practice their writing techniques. Higher level students will prepare a presentation and a debate topic once a month, take part in book discussions, and also write essays, book reports, and focus on grammar. Regular classes help students increase their intensive listening and understanding skills. Led by a native English teacher, the students will learn English in a fun and balanced way. The levels are divided by grades and classes are conducted according to the needs of each level. Lower level students focus on listening, speaking, reading the assigned storybooks, and writing in an activity book. Mid-level students practice listening and speaking using a picture storybook, give a presentation on the book, and focus on reading in their homework book. High level students are given a topic to discuss in class, read chapter books, and practice writing and grammar.
