About:

 

At ING English, we follow the International School Program, as part of our curriculum. From this curriculum, we teach students Language Arts, Social Sciences, History, Science, and encourage them to read both fiction and non-fiction. Thus, we allow our students to learn in a foreign classroom, and in a foreign setting, without having to go abroad to study. 

 

We follow a cooperative-system involving both our native English instructors and our bilingual local Korean instructors. While our native instructors are responsible for Storybook, Reading and Listening, our Korean instructors would be responsible for grammar, counseling, and student management. We are currently looking for a Native English Instructor who is organized (lesson plan), yet can freely interact and free-talk with students. We would like someone who understands the Korean culture, and someone who loves children and the teaching profession passionately.

 

Our Current Staff:

  • 4 Korean Teachers, 3 Native Foreign Instructors


Candidate Requirements:

  • Native English Instructor (Prefer someone with teaching experience in Korea)
  • Is able to start work on June
  • Someone who is passionate, diligent and organized
  • Someone who loves children

Working Conditions:

  • Working Hours: Can choose between:
    • Monday-Friday 1:00 ~ 9:00 pm, or 2:00 pm ~ 10:00 pm
    • We have yearly events (orientation, parents conference, seminar) in which you must work also on Saturday during the event.
  • Insurance: 4 basic Insurance (National Pension Scheme, National Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance)
    • Payment for the insurance will be split between the candidate 50%, and the employer school 50%
  • Holidays/Vacation: 10 days of choice (Including Summer and Winter Holidays)
  • Flight Ticket: Full payment for a return flight (back to your destination) only
  • Housing: Provide apartment (office-tel, one room, 600,000 KRW monthly rent) rental benefit. Walking distance to the school

Seongnam-si is located below Songpa-gu district in Seoul, and is thus easily accessible by the Seoul Subway, Line 8. You can get off at either Jangji Station, or Bokjeong Station which is a 15-minute distance from Jamsil station in Seoul. ING English is only a few 10-15 minute walking distance from the exit.

We don't only aim to teach English, but we try to share the knowledge that we have gained about society, and the world through our teaching experience. Thus, we allow our students to learn in a foreign classroom, and in a foreign setting, without having to go abroad to study.    We use textbooks certified by McGraw-Hill, such as Treasures, Trophy, and Science Fusion, but in ING, we mainly use Wonders as our main textbook. Through Wonders, we focus on teaching reading and writing, while having discussions in English as well to help students improve their conversational skills.     Our Teachers   At ING English, we follow a cooperative-system involving both our native English instructors and our bilingual local Korean instructors. While our native instructors are responsible for Storybook, Reading and Listening, our Korean instructors would be responsible for grammar, counseling, and student management.   We also follow a pre-set Lesson Plan provided by each instructor, in which parents can freely access to check their student's current progress.
