Little Paris, Seoul: R&D Teacher and Literature Teacher - Wonders English Academy

About Us Wonders English Academy specializes in reading and discussion for English learners. We hope to teach our students the power to think and grow as they become the leaders of the future. At Wonders English Academy, we focus on literature and discussion for elementary school students from 1st to 6th grade. We also have classes centered on debate, essay, and reading battles, where students actively engage in talking about what they've read. Our students also enjoy participating in essay contests and we help them prepare through reading and writing. Since we began earlier this year, we currently have 3 full-time teachers and 2 part-time teachers and we hope that you will join our team! Location Located a few minutes from the Express Bus Terminal Station, we are situated in Sorae Village, also known as "Little Paris." Although it’s a little bit off the beaten path, it’s a great place to find delicious pastries and fine wines and we're thrilled to be located in such a great place. Housing We have a couple of accommodations located not far from our academy - one is within walking distance and the other is a bit further away, but super accessible by bus. About Us   Little Fox was founded in 2000 with an emphasis on English storybooks for children. Understanding that children love to listen to stories in English, founders Kim Won Jae and Yang Myeong Seon wanted every child to have that opportunity. Since most Korean parents don't have the ability to read stories in English, Little Fox was born as a web-based resource to help parents teach their children English.   Through Flash software, Little Fox pioneered a software that created animated stories. Paired with English narration, interactive activities, course books, and dynamic ESL teachers, Little Fox classrooms are fun, unique, and innovative environments where Korean students can learn English eagerly.   Little Fox Language Centers have expanded over the years to more than 60 locations throughout Korea and has maintained consistent growth due to management expertise and effective implementation of its curriculum.   Teaching at Little Fox   Teaching at Little Fox is a rewarding experience for our teachers. Each teacher has their own classes and students between the ages of 6-14. Our teachers take full responsibility throughout each semester which allows them to develop lasting relationships with each student. Teachers follow our curriculum and use the Teacher's Guide to teach the material. The guide has step-by-step procedures on how to teach every aspect of the curriculum for all courses. It includes ideas and suggestions to make classes more interactive and enjoyable for students. Furthermore, it offers guidelines on classroom management and how to approach certain situations. Teachers can concentrate on their students' needs because the curriculum itself is very structured and easy to follow. Our curriculum uses animated stories and interactive activities, so all classrooms have large screens that teachers utilize to provide a visual, interactive, and multi-media approach. Our teachers' job is not only to teach their students, but to evaluate them too. Evaluation highlights struggling students which allows the teacher, working with the principal, to provide the necessary help for those students.   Location   We’re located in Jukjeon, Gyeonggi-do, which is right below Seoul. Nearby, you can check out Jukjeon Café Street, Hwaseong Fortress, Wawoojeongsa Temple, or watch soccer games at Suwon World Cup Stadium. We’re only 30 minutes away from Gangnam station, so you can easily hop on the subway and explore Seoul. Not too far away, you can also check out Everland, an outdoor amusement park (with a zoo) and Caribbean Bay, a year-round water park!   Job Overview   Start Date: March 2nd, 2020 Salary: Negotiable (based on experience) Job Type: Full-Time Working Hours: 1 PM to 9 PM Student Age Range: Elementary Students (6-14 Year-Olds)   Benefits   Vacation: 10 Days Off Housing: Housing Provided or Housing Allowance (up to 450,000 KRW/month) Airway: One-way Ticket CLOSE TO SEOUL!   Teacher Requirements   4-Year Bachelor's Degree TESOL/TEFL/CELTA Certificate (Preferred) Enjoys working with children Energetic   ---   Apply by clicking the Apply Now button above or send us an email at kwpartners1@gmail.com.
