Geumcheon-gu is a non-touristic area bordering Gwanak-gu and Guro-gu in the north. It has the highest concentration of big technology companies in Seoul. The Gasan Digital Complex Station is a busy commercial and business hub and is a great place to find IT products, souvenirs, good food and more.
The district also boasts a large shopping mall cluster known as Geumcheon Fashion Town offering everything from brand clothes to local produce.
Every April, Geumcheon-gu also holds the Geumcheon Cherry Blossom Festival on the Cherry Blossom Road. Seoul Art Space also serves to boost the cultural life of the residents and provide a place for young artists to showcase their works.

Seoul Lantern Festival
Venue: Cheonggye Plaza 14-1, Seorin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul (서울특별시 종로구 서린동 14-1 청계광장) Be amazed as massive lanterns light up the 1.2-kilometer long water path along Cheonggyecheon Stream from Cheonggye Plaza to Supyogyo Bridge. Lanterns of all shapes, colors, and sizes will illuminate the surrounding water making this the perfect nighttime activity. See laterns in the shapes of dragons, buildings, fish, soldiers, and more! You can also participate in making wish lanterns and sending them down the stream.

If you are a fan of Jazz or music in general you can't miss the Jarasum International Jazz Festival! The festival is held every October on the beautiful Jaraseom Island in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. During the festival world-famous jazz artists come together to delight audiences with the smooth vibes of live jazz. As a Green Life Honorary Ambassador, the festival also promotes environmental protection. In order to share and connect with the community the festival holds a Gapyeong Band Contest, publishes a Gapyeong Restaurant Guidebook, and produces Jazz Makgeolli and Jazz Wine made from the region’s local products.
