Located right across from the iconic Sewoon Arcade in Euljiro, central Seoul, Sansu Gapsan is an old school hole-in-the-wall restaurant specializing in Korean-style blood sausage known as sundae. This place is about as authentic as it gets, with Seoulites swearing by it as the city’s best spot for sundae. Order a bowl of hot sundae soup, known as sundaeguk, as well as a platter of assorted sundae, which includes slices of boiled pork head, squid sundae, intestine sundae, and dried slices of liver, and knock down a bottle or two of soju while you’re at it. The restaurant is just a short walk away from the Cheonggyecheon stream and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to explore; a throwback to the old days of Seoul that’s filled with tight winding alleyways and gritty workshops.
