OME Cooking Lab



We are a Korean culture travel contents company that teaches travelers about the taste and fun of Korea. We were chosen as a tourism venture company by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organization in 2016. In OME, we offer a variety of food cultural experiences in Seoul by exploring local markets and cooking together with people from all over the world.


OME means 5 tastes, which are sweetness, sourness, bitterness, saltiness, and hotness. Our focus is on helping foreigners experience the 5 tastes of Korea and offering cooking programs which provide 5 kinds of fun! 

We offer a one-day cooking class that starts with touring and purchasing ingredients from the local markets. Then cooking and dining together in a traditional style Korean house. 





In this class, you will learn how to cook Samgyetang (chicken and ginseng soup). Samgyetang is made of chicken, ginseng, garlic, glutinous rice, and other ingredients. This healthy meal is rich and full of nutrients such as protein and minerals. Kimchi and Korean pancake will also be served.

Korean Home Cooking 

In this class, you will learn how to make home-style Korean dishes, such as Bulgogi, Jap chae (glass noodles), Deonjang jjigae (bean paste stew), and seafood pancakes.

- Availability: Tuesdays & Saturdays
- Class Duration:  3 hours

Korean Street Food 

Remember all those delicious looking street food you came across as you were touring the market? You will learn how to make them! Enjoy Korean street food such as Kimbap, Tteok-bokki, Sundubu-jjigae (tofu bean paste stew), and one or two kinds of side dishes.

- Availability: Wednesdays
- Class Duration:  3 hours



You will learn how to make several kinds of Kimchi using various ingredients such as radish, cabbage and even tomatoes! You will also cook steamed pork slices as it is a perfect complement to your kimchi.

- Availability: Thursdays
- Class Duration:  3 hours


Bibimbap is rice mixed with vegetables, meat (optional) and added spicy paste called "gochujjang". You mix it together to create a dish with harmonious tastes and texture.

- Availability: Fridays
- Class Duration:  3 hours

Korean Dessert 

You will learn how to make seasonal Korean desserts such as Gangjeong, Dasik, Songpyeon and so on. During every dessert class, traditional Korean tea will be served as well. You can take your Korean dessert home!

Korean Chimaek 

Chi-maek, is a Korean abbreviation shortened for chicken and maekju (beer). This eating culture has been popularized all over the world where famous celebrities have been shown deliciously eating chi-maek. We will teach you how to make your own chicken dish that you can pair with some fresh beer

Gyeongdong Market is located in Dongdaemun and is one of the largest herbal medicine and ginseng markets in the country. There also many vendors selling fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and fisheries. 
Yangnyeong Market is one of the most famous traditional medicine markets in Korea. Herbs here are sold at a much cheaper price than elsewhere.
