Situated underneath Yeouido’s iconic International Finance Center, IFC Mall was one of the first western-style malls to open in Korea, all the way back in 2012, and has brought new life to an area that was largely desolate on weekends before it opened. Visitors enter the mall through a beautiful glass atrium, with escalators leading down to three basement floors full of shops, restaurants, and a large CGV movie theater. There are tons of famous brands with stores in IFC Mall, including Muji, Uniqlo, Hollister, Zara, Adidas, and Nike, as well as a wide variety of restaurants serving all types of cuisines concentrated on the B1 and B3 floors.
In total, the mall takes up more than 40,000㎡ of floor space and cost a whopping $2.2 billion USD to construct. It boasts spacious walkways and plenty of natural light coming through the pavilion that makes shopping here a far more pleasant experience compared to other shopping malls in the metropolitan area. Tax refund services, as well as English-language customer service, are also offered to foreign tourists shopping at the mall.
