Considered one of the big three Pyongyang naengmyeon restaurants in central Seoul, Eulji Myeonok is a favorite amongst the city’s older generation, cooking up authentic Pyongyang-style cold noodles made from a mixture of buckwheat and starch served in a chilled broth made from a combination of beef brisket and pork. Choose between the original classic style or spice things up with the more flavorful bibim naengmyeon, a dish of spicy cold noodles. The restaurant’s boiled pork slices are also top-notch so make sure to order a platter to go with your naengmyeon. Eulji Myeonok and the nearby Pildong Myeonok are actually run by two siblings and the two restaurants originate from Pyongyang Myeonok in nearby Uijeongbu, which was opened by their father.
