Shake Shack started off as just a small food cart in the middle of Madison Square Park in New York City but has since transformed itself into a multinational restaurant chain that is lauded for its high-quality burgers. So in the Summer of 2016, when Shake Shack announced they were opening a store in Gangnam, social media sites in Korea went ballistic. When it first opened, lines went out the store and around the block, but since then Shake Shack has opened five more locations across the Seoul metropolitan area, easing the waiting time at its Gangnam location, which is still its most famous and visited. While there are plenty of burger restaurants across Seoul, Shake Shack stands out the most with its fresh, high quality ingredients. They also serve hot dogs, veggie burgers, and, of course, milkshakes. It may not be traditional Korean food, but if you're craving a high-quality while you're in Korea then definitely check out Shake Shack.
