Of the many barbecue restaurants in Mapo, Jobak Jip has succeeded most in capturing the hearts of Koreans. The first store and the second branch right across the road are always bustling with hungry customers. There are plenty of different cuts of beef and pork on the menu, but most people order the pork, as it's the best bang for your buck. Jobak Jip uses only high-quality cuts and marinates the pork in a moderately sweet and salty sauce. The white kimchi soup washes down the grease of the meat and the Korean traditional sweet rice drink sikhye that comes out for dessert is the perfect finish. It's also not too far from the Han River, so take a walk down over there and burn some calories after your meal.
