An Inside Look at Korea's Largest TV Network

MBC World

MBC 월드

Headquartered in Digital Media City, MBC is one of Korea’s main public broadcasting corporations and largest TV networks, producing some of Korea’s most watched programs. With an increase in popularity of its programming worldwide, MBC decided to establish a special interactive theme park at its headquarters called MBC World that caters to both Korean and international visitors alike. Visitors can immerse themselves in exhibitions detailing some of the network’s most famous dramas and music programs, get a feel for what it’s like behind the MBC newsdesk, have fun and take candid photos at the augmented reality exhibition, and catch hologram performances by some of Korea’s hottest musical acts. You can even become part of some of MBC’s most famous programming through VR!

Right outside the MBC Building is Sangam Culture Plaza, home to Digital Media City’s Star Park. It’s a short street of plaques with the handprints of numerous celebrities, both Korean and international, that have visited the area. Visitors can also take a look at the history of the network and its evolution since its establishment in 1961. Tours of MBC World last a total of 90 minutes, and run thirteen times per day from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. Admission for adults is 18,000 won, teenagers cost 13,000 won, and kids can get in for just 9,000 won.
