Hidden in a small alleyway amongst workshops on the 2nd floor of an old industrial building is a cafe/bar called the Edge. There are no signs, just a fluorescent red light at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to this fabulously designed space. Soft fluorescent lighting and plants accentuate the bone white walls, with a smartly designed wooden counter bar situated right next to the entrance. There’s even a small DJ booth situated in an alcove in the corner of the space that hosts local DJs who spin vinyl records a few times a week. The cafe serves the regular fare of coffee, tea, and beverages, along with an abundance of cocktails and craft beer, and an array of light food to snack on over drinks.
The owners of the Edge also run the specialty record shop Clique Records, located right across the street, and throw parties at the Edge from time to time. There’s also an incredible rooftop with a great view of the surrounding area located right above the space via a set of very steep stairs. There are plastic stools and crates, and tables made from shipping crates adorning the deck and canvas sheets providing protection from the sun, with Christmas lights lighting up the rooftop at night.
