Seoul's Largest Aquarium

Lotte World Aquarium

롯대월드 아쿠아리움

Beneath the ground floors of Seoul’s Lotte World Tower and Lotte World Mall is a massive aquarium that’s home to over 650 different species of marine life from all over the world. There are a total of thirteen exhibits, from which the environments of the world’s five largest oceans are recreated.

The marine life at the Lotte World Aquarium is housed in spacious 25-meter-wide tanks, some of the largest in the nation, and the aquarium maintains a clean water quality environment 365 days a year to assure the best possible living conditions for its precious inhabitants. The aquarium also includes an 85 meter-long aqua tunnel, the longest in the country.

To achieve its mission of a harmonious balance between humans and nature, Lotte World Aquarium strives to establish better communication between our species. At exhibition spaces, guests can take advantage of interactive displays and special educational programs to learn more about our marine neighbors.

Over a dozen different interactive educational programs are available to people of all ages to teach them about the marine environment and its inhabitants, many of which allow participants to feed the aquarium’s animals. These educational programs are considered to be some of the best in the nation and provide interactive experiences that no other aquariums in the country can match.
