When most foreigners think ‘samgyeopsal’, they tend to think about the self-grilling experience and unseasoned juicy pork belly. Namdo Sikdang betrays both these stereotypes. The main dish, and what Namdo Sikdang is famous for, is charcoal grilled samgyeopsal marinated in Korean chili sauce. It's earned enough of a reputation to be featured on celebrity Korean chef Paek Jong-Won's TV program, Paek Jong-Won Samdae Cheonwang Matjip. Another unusual aspect of the samgyeopsal here is that the skin is attached, which allows you to experience two different textures from one piece of meat. It's a very popular restaurant amongst office workers in the area, who come here in the evening for a meal and copious amounts of soju.
