Seoul's Olympic Legacy

Jamsil Sports Complex

잠실종합운동장

Seoul Olympic Stadium is the crown jewel of Jamsil Sports Complex and its most historic venue, having hosted the opening and closing ceremonies and numerous sporting events during the 1988 Summer Olympic Games. It was also the home of the Korean national football team until 2000 and continues to host concerts and music festivals throughout the year, as well as K-League 2 side Seoul E-Land FC. The stadium is the largest in Korea, with a capacity just shy of 70,000, although its age is beginning to show, causing Seoul City Hall to announce a massive renovation project to begin in 2019.
