Tucked away on the southern side of Korea's island paradise, Jeju-do, is an incredible beach that has been rated by Korean environmental groups as the best beach in Korea: Jungmun Saekdal Beach. This beach is only a half kilometer in length, surrounded by picturesque cliffs, but is home to some of the most pristine water in Korea, and waves large enough to surf and bodyboard. It's settled between some of Jeju's most famous hotels, such as the Hyatt Regency, Lotte Hotel, and Kensington, and is easy to get to by public transportation from anywhere on the island.
Jungmun Saekdal Beach offers plenty of fun activities, such as parasailing, jet skiing, scuba diving, and you can even rent surfboards as well. The beach is actually a sort of mecca for surfers in Korea due to its large waves, and the beach hosts a surfing competition every year. On the east end of the beach is Jusangjeolli Cliff, and below it is a large cave known as Haesik Cave which you can explore if the currents aren't too bad. There are also plenty of seafood restaurants and cafes with great views of the sea in the area. Jungmun Saekdal Beach has all the basic amenities you would expect of any beach; shower stalls, changing rooms, and camping sites. But note that parking is quite limited here.
