Warm pastel colors are the mark of Yoonssi Milbang, a fusion restaurant in Hongdae that makes sure each one its dishes uses flour, thus the name 'milbang', which roughly translates as 'flour factory'. Situated in a basement, the pastel colors of its exterior help draw in customers and give it a warm, friendly vibe. This restaurant has proved to be so popular that waiting times can last up to 30 minutes. It doesn't help that the restaurant itself isn't very large, which led the owner to open a second location just a few minutes away from the original.
Its specialties are hamburg steak and pasta, but one interesting side dish that's given with every meal is the tteokpokki, which is made from flour rather than rice. As you can see this restaurant is all about flour. The restaurant's interior is filled with bookshelves, paintings, and home furniture, giving it a very welcoming, homely vibe, almost like a country house, and the mismatching chairs and tables give it a very charming look. Everything is made and cooked in-house, from the sauces to the hamburg steaks to the tteokpokki. There are a variety of different hamburg steaks and pasta dishes, each of which cost between 8,000 and 9,500 won. But be warned, some of it can be on the spicy side!
