COEX is a huge multi-purpose convention complex located at the very edge of Gangnam district and the leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) venue in Asia, having hosted the 2010 G20 Summit, which brought together the heads of state of the world's twenty largest economies. Conventions, festivals, meetings, and fairs are held throughout the year at COEX, making it one of Seoul's most visited attractions.
This ultra-modern complex boasts over 36,007㎡ of exhibition space and a floor area of 460,000㎡ spread over four stories, with four exhibition halls that can be partitioned into twelve separate spaces and conference facilities that host 55 meeting rooms equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Artfully designed as a hub for leisure, education, and culture, the COEX complex is not only a convention and exhibition center, but also houses the largest underground shopping mall in Asia, an aquarium, the iconic Starfield Library, and one of the top hallyu attractions, SMTown.
