What to Expect

Without having to leave the heart of the city, we offer you a chance to confortably relax and engage in self-relection for a day or even a week. Feel free to participate in any of the activities in our Center, such as daily chanting, prayers, Seon meditation. After your stay, you will feel invigorated, and your mind purified, ready to start anew.

1. Take the Seoul Subway Line 5 to Omokgyo Station (Mokdong Stadium) and go out Exit 8. Follow the directions as shown in the picture

 

International Seon Center

2. Once you see the large temple, enter and present your mobile voucher to the staff at the entrance. He/she will guide you to your room and hand you your temple clothes.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to 2:00 pm, when the daily temple stay begins.

Usually a complete vegetarian diet, with rice and soup. You are also advised to not to have any left-overs, and only take a respectable portion.

You can take a rest, read some books, or do your own practice such as prostrations, praying or meditation.

Yebool

"Yebool" is a ceremony that we pay respect to the Sakyamuni Buddha, Bodhisattvas and all his disciples. It is a form of Buddhist chanting, in which you will feel calm and have a purified mind.

"Bowing is to take refuge in the Three Jewels, showing respect for others, and keeping a humble mind in Buddhism. 108 defilements represent the worldly sufferings, and one must bow 108 times to purify one's own defilements."

Booking Process

  • Complete the payment and you will receive an instant confirmation email and receipt.
  • The voucher will be delivered to you once the reservation is confirmed.
  • If you haven't received your confirmation email/receipt, please check your spam folder, or check your "My Page" in the WorknPlay homepage.
  • If the minimum number of people (3 people) has not been met during your scheduled date, we will inform you immediately

How To Use

  • Print out or show the voucher on your mobile device at the entrance of the center
  • The staff will guide you through registration, to your room, and finally will hand you your temple uniform.
  • Voucher Validity: Only on the chosen date.

Additional Information

  • Children under 7 must be accompanied by a guardian
  • Please abide by the monk's instructions and guidelines during your stay
  • Please keep the noble silence during your stay
  • Be punctual for each program sessions
  • Wear clothes neat and clean, and abstain from explicit clothing, heavy make-up, and no bare-feet within the temple
  • No smoking or drinking inside the temple
  • Outside food is prohibited
  • The International Seon Center is closed from 10 pm to 4 am.

Cancelation Policy

  • Full refunds will be made for cancellations made 48 hours in advance
  • No refunds for cancellations made on the date
  • No refunds after entry
  • Failure to comply with guidelines can result in involuntary expulsion and participation fees will not be refunded in such cases.
