One of the most historic and famous Chinese restaurants in Seoul, Andongjang boasts over 70 years of history, having opened all the way back in 1948. The restaurant serves a wide array of Chinese dishes, but is most famous for its black bean noodles, know as jjajangmyeon, and oyster noodle soup, called guljjamppong. These dishes are perhaps the most popular in all of Korea, especially for delivery, with thousands of motorbikes crisscrossing the city on their way to deliver them to offices and homes. A platter of sweet and sour pork, known as tangsuyuk, is also a must when eating at Andongjang. Crisp, fried pork is drenched in a sweet sauce and it doesn’t lose its crispiness despite the abundance of sauce.
