WorknPlay Consulting Activities with our teachers

WorknPlay Consulting had various cultural events and tour with our ESL teachers. We held an orientation for Yeonggwang native teachers and visited Korea Hydro and Nuclear power Company. It was a great time for teachers to get to know each other and exchange teaching experience and effective teaching methods.

Yeonggwang is located in Northwestern region of Jeollanam-do. You could enjoy 200.2km Coastal line and explore 65 Islands in Yeonggwang. Besides you could get to Gwangju Metropolitan city within just 50min by bus.

Yeonggwang education board gives you 20 working days vacation a year+ all national holidays. Korea has about 18 holidays a year. That’s almost 4 weeks! It would be a good chance to explore Jeolla province-one of the most interesting parts of Korea.

Higher Salary

Its salary is unbeatable! It’s 2.2/2.4/2.5mil per month depends on your qualification. You would teach only 22 hrs a week and earn at least 2.2mil per month.

Honam Udo Instrumental Music of peasants- The eternal tradition continued of Honam Udo Instrumental Music of peasants is held the subscription presentation with 50 members in every year. Our tradition music will be succession and development.

Songido Beach - The place is only pebble swimming beach(length 3 ㎞ , area 30 ㏊ ) in nationwide. The pebble is very soft. Therefore, if you walk by bare foot, yon don't feel the pain. There are Hackberry forest and many fantastic rocks and stones. And also, The camping is convenient. Therefore, the place is good summer vacation rest area.

Bulgapsa-temple - The name of Bulgapsa, standing on Bulgapsan Hill(516m), may be born of the fact that it was first built by Buddhist Monk Marananta who introduced Buddhism into Korea in the first year of King Chimryu in the Baekje Period(384). Beopseongpo was also changed from Buyongpo because it was the wharf where a saint brought a Buddhist canon.

Temple stay- Currently there are 43 temples participating in the program nationwide.

Major activities in the program include: attending the Buddhist ceremonial service; Seon(Zen) meditation; tea ceremonies that elevate one's mediative efforts; Buddhist meal with traditional bowls; community work around the temple grounds; informative tours around the temple grounds; forest meditation to maximize oneness with nature; and hikes to nearby hermitages. Some temples offer special training programs in Seon (Zen) meditation and Buddhist martial arts, lotus lantern making, prayer bead(rosary) making, various rubbings including wooden blocks, and tombstones, and other activities.
