One of the newest bars in Itaewon, opening late this summer, Brick Yard has already made a
splash on the scene for Itaewon drinkers that enjoy a rooftop view and specialty cocktails.
Maybe you've heard of Sam Hammington, celebrity comedian? He's one of the owners.
Behind the counter, you'll see a moustache that hipster's dream of. That's Ray Swayy Oh, another
co-owner of the bar and designer of the bar menu at Brick Yard and many other favorites in the city
including:The Beastro, Manimaland Lobster Bar.
For a quieter space, there's the rooftop. Here, you'll channel your own inner hipster-self sitting on
wooden palettes or skateboards on faux grass, holding up your craft beer and looking down
towards Itaewoner's with far less premium alcohol.
Their menu also deserves more commentary. For fellow beer lovers, a specialty here is their watermelon craft beer, recommended and supposedly one of the best in the city.
Their self proclaimed 'fancy' and 'upscale' drinks, are, for a reason. I'm a lover of a well-made pisco
sour for the silkyness of the added egg-whites. Their version of The White Lady (12,000), a classic
using Cointreau, egg whites and gin add a twist of fresh thyme.
Another bar special is their take on the classic drink, Elevated Jack and Coke (10,000). The drink is
a mix of Jack Daniels, coke, and cherries that have been soaked in liquor, sprinkled with sugar and
caramelized with a blow torch. This drink is then squirted with a spritz of vanilla.
If you find their drinks are overpriced for your taste, the standard and classic cocktails such as the
margarita, martini, and cosmopolitan all use premium liquor.
Relaxed and foreigner friendly with even friendlier bartenders, Brick Yard shines as a new charming
addition to all the inspired bars in Itaewon with a view.
