After night year's success, Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market is back!
From end of March to October, Bamdokkaebi Night Market is set to take place every Friday and Saturday nights. It takes place at Yeouido by the Han River banks, and during the summer more venues will open up under different themes through out the city, so make sure to check the schedule and place before you visit.
"Bam" in Bamdokkaebi means "night" in Korean. The cute(but supposed to be fearful) figures on the poster are called "Dokkaebi". They are monsters from Korean traditional fairy tale that appear at night to trick humans, and with the spiky hammers they bring around, they can create things magically.
This Bamdokkaebi Night maket is going to be a magical place where everybody can come out with their families and friends to enjoy endless things such as tasty street food, and even the line up for the food, hand made jams and desserts from individual sellers and cookies from small local bakeries, music from young buskers, hand-crafted accessaries, perfumes, cosmetics and the list just goes on!
