The Freemarket, a spontaneous Arts market and festival, has suggested the new culture space, which breaks down the border between creators and citizens. Since the opening of the first market in June 2002, the walls of life vs art and the curtains of artists and citizens were lowered by allowing anyone to participate by becoming a creator, a consumer, a Free-player, or as a volunteer.

Creators can participate as a seller and culture creator. People who do not create can enjoy and broaden their culture experience. The Freemarket also acts as a stimulus for people, who can create but were afraid alone, can now become a creator. Any individual can become a part of the market.

The Freemarket is the biggest alternative cultural market and most successful domestically. Many other culture markets and various alternative markets have been influenced by us. Furthermore, the Freemarket acts as the most successful and artful representation of HongdaeAp and its surroundings. In fact, the Freemarket is recognized by the nation as a tourist friendly market and drives local cultural and economic focus.

The freemarket aims to be a cradle of various individual artists and build an infrastructure that artists can act constantly and interact and collaborate with others. To achieve our goal, we always try to improve and strive for progress.
