After I wrote the article about English speaking Hair Salons in Seoul, I got to thinking about other beautification services one might need. Waxing immediately came to mind. Although I have gotten my hair cut a few times while living in Korea, I have never even attempted getting a wax. I have also never heard my friends discussing the topic. I had no idea if waxing was a possible thing to do in South Korea. I have since learned that waxing is indeed a thing here and people do go to salons to get the job done.

I had more difficulty finding places and unlike a haircut, waxing prices are significantly higher than back home. The salons I have listed here offer services in English and offer full waxing services.

Note: If you feel like being pampered, the spas in the major hotels do offer some waxing treatments. However, their services are limited or some are only included in large spa packages.

Lindsey lived and worked in Seoul, South Korea for over 5 years. While there, she dabbled in different areas of work and explored the culture. She spent time teaching elementary students, business English to adults and high school students about college preparation. She also studied Korean, wrote blogs and tasted as many foods as she possibly could including fermented skate fish. Over the years, Lindsey developed a love for Korea and the culture. She is keen to share her knowledge of Korea with others and she will always consider Korea a second home.
