Korean National Ballet or KNB both nominally and virtually represents Korean ballet. It was established in 1962 as the National Dance Company and was spun off as the Korean National Ballet in 1973. It became a foundation in 2000. Since the establishment as a foundation, KNB seeks nothing shorter than to become one of the world’s preeminent ballet companies. Towards that end, it built the KNB Society of patrons, attracted the public’s interest through star marketing, increased its repertoire with the assistance of renowned foreign choreographers, and performed over. KNB is now more proactively reaching out to the public and putting on more regional performances for everyone to enjoy. It is also publicizing itself in many ways to make Korean ballet known to the world. >> Less more
