All in all, a truly delightful day

This weekend we went to the Boryeong mud festival in Daechon Beach, and I really only have one thing to say about it- Awesome! We initially heard about this festival when we were in Chicago at the Korean Consulate getting our visas. A couple of other Americans were telling us how they had gone the year before, it was a cool thing to do, blah blah blah,

but we didn't really think about it again until a few weeks ago when people at EV started planning trips. We decided to go with a couple friends of ours, Derek and Sandy (two of the coolest Texans that the Lonestar State has ever churned out). We decided to go at the beginning of our 3-days off, stay Sunday night and then return Monday evening in time for D & S to work on Tuesday. It was about a three hour bus ride from Ilsan to Boryeong, most of which we spend sleeping and trying to ignore the 8 or so other foreigners who were headed to the same place.
